Set in a future radiation-contaminated world.

I’ve got a cupboard with cans of food
Filtered water, and pictures of you
And I’m not coming out until this is all over
And I’m looking through the glass
Where the light bends at the cracks
And I’m screaming at the top of my lungs
Pretending the echoes belong to someone
Someone I used to know

And we become silhouettes
When our bodies finally go

I wanted to walk though the empty streets
And feel something constant under my feet
But all the news reports recommended that I stay indoors
Because the air outside will make
Our cells divide at an alarming rate
Until our shells simply cannot hold
All our insides in, and that’s when we’ll explode
(And it won’t be a pretty sight)

And we’ll become silhouettes
When our bodies finally go

I sort of like The Shin’s cover better than The Postal Service original.

Nuclear shadows from Hiroshima

Nuclear shadows from Hiroshima

I’m waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust I’m breathing in the chemicals I’m breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse Whoa

I’m waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, I’m radioactive, radioactive Whoa, whoa, I’m radioactive, radioactive

I raise my flags, dye my clothes
It’s a revolution, I suppose We’ll paint it red to fit right in
Whoa I’m breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
